I am majoring in Special Education, specifically in the area of mild - moderate disabilities. While creating this wiki, I have found many websites containing great information regarding my area of study. By doing research and learning all the different techniques and aspects of a wiki I have been able to link many different sources together all in one place. Because the term Special Education is so broad, it is great not only for me, but for others to view my wiki in order to view many resources without having to search in different places.
After completing my wiki, I have come to realize that it will never really be complete. This is a great advantage to building a wiki; I can always come back and edit or ad new findings to keep readers updated. When thinking about being a future educator, it excited me greatly to know I can apply this great piece of technology to the classroom. Anyone can create a wiki, so it would be a wonderful tool to have students explore.
